That's what Toyota is calling its latest of a seemingly endless list of recalls. This one is for about 500,000 Avalon sedans and Land Cruiser SUVs for a defective lock bar which would cause the driver to lose all control of steering. Just before that was the recall of several Lexus models, over 200,000 vehicles, for defective engines that cause stalling while in motion, and defective gas tanks that leak and explode even with minor impact.
