Open Question: Is Volvo more luxurious and classy than Lexus? Which would you own and why?

I'm looking at buying a new car, either a Lexus or a Volvo. The LS is more expensive, but I would rather have a car that I really liked and payed more than a car that I got for a bargain. I wanted to know which one is more prestigious to own, which one is more luxurious is which one is more "stress free" as well as requires less maintenance. People I know (I'm Indian by the way) prefer Lexus' over any other car because of their class.
